Business Challenge:


A lack of clear expectations for leaders was creating critical and enduring talent challenges that threatened future growth and profitability by interfering with collaboration, mobility, innovation, and capability.

People Solution:


We partnered with the client to create a framework to evaluate performance and potential using clear, consistent, and objective standards that differentiated exceptional leaders.  Using a rigorous data-based methodology, we created a simple, customized framework that was unique for the company culture and nature of the business.  

These standards would serve as the foundation for:

  • Strengthening the rigor, accountability, and transparency in development and succession decisions

  • Accelerating the pipeline of women and people of color for senior management roles

  • Enhancing the reliability and validity of data to make evidence-based talent decisions

By emphasizing utility over complexity, the framework was successfully applied to a variety of talent assessment conversations (e.g., performance management, succession planning) and contributed to more strategic decisions about future succession and development. The framework also provided a foundation for more advanced, predictive talent analytics in the future.



Business Challenge:

Latin America was acknowledged as a critical growth market, but there was no forum for dialogue across the businesses about how to leverage scale in the region or to accelerate development for leaders to take cross-functional roles.

People Solution:


In partnership with internal leaders and external subject matter experts, we designed and delivered a three-day leadership program that focused on building business and leadership skills for executives operating business units in Latin America.  The program comprised dynamic experiential sessions designed to:

  • Deepen understanding of industry and macroeconomic trends

  • Engage executives in dialogue on current business and leadership challenges

  • Facilitate discussion of new business opportunities across the company and the region

  • Enhance leadership effectiveness through 360 feedback and executive coaching

  • Broaden executive networks across Latin America and business units

The program was delivered in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, and Miami to executives in each of the business units.  Latin America continues to be an important growth market with dynamic regulatory, economic, technology, and cultural changes.  The knowledge and relationships forged in this program enhance future opportunities for value creation in the businesses.


Business Challenge:

A creative agency made significant investment in systems and structures to accelerate the growth of their retail and wholesale businesses. However, successful execution of the ambitious growth targets outlined in the five-year strategic plan would require a shift in how the organization operated; simply “working harder” would not be sufficient.

People Solution:

We worked closely with the founders and investment team to align operating model with the nascent business strategy to accelerate short- and long-term performance. Using a series of individual interviews and facilitated team discussions, we:

  • Designed the future state by codifying the strategy, culture, and leadership required to meet financial and operational targets

  • Assessed the present by diagnosing the strengths and weaknesses of the current operating model

  • Created plans to accelerate the transition by identifying and prioritizing the interventions that would have the most impact

By transforming the organization design and operating model, we addressed gaps in strategic capability and interpersonal relationships. At the same time, we ensured sustained success through recommendations for changes to training and development interventions, compensation and rewards, and employee experience that the client could implement without our support.
